Description

In the complex world of the XXI century, students need to have strong communications skills. Active listening skills are frequently undervalued, but are so very important.

A teenager paying close attention to the person who is speaking will make a huge difference to him as much as his teachers and parents.

Adolescents who are active listeners are well-regarded by their fellow students because of the attention and respect they offer to others.

While it seems simple, this is a skill that can be hard to develop and improve.

Teenagers will learn how to be an active listener by focusing on the speaker, avoiding distractions and by preparing questions, comments or ideas to thoughtfully respond.
